I try to be a good planner - It is always great if I have things organized - seems like it makes life easier somehow. The funny thing about plans, though, is they have a tendency to change. No matter how careful you might be, there is always something around the corner that is about to change or alter the plans you currently have. In some respects, that is what makes life so interesting. In others, it is what makes life difficult and fearful at times.
The good thing in it all is that God has plans too. However, God's plans for us are always perfect plans because God sees the future just as well as he sees the past. No matter what you're going through today, God already knew about it before you were ever born.
Therefore, knowing the nature and character of God, we also have to know that in our relationship with Jesus, God's plans for you are perfect. In the joys of life, his plan is perfect. In the bad times, his plan is perfect. Our simple response is to believe and trust not only in his plans, but also in who is is.
As the scripture says, "For I know the plans I have you, says the Lord, not plans to harm you, but plans to prosper you. Plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
