So... you're driving along and you come to an intersection.  By definition, an intersection is something and interrupts the flow of traffic - it creates a way for you to change directions and go in a different way.  You come upon intersections so often when driving that we seldom give them a thought... unless you don't know where you're doing.

In our our walk with Jesus, we also face intersections every day.  Every day you're going to have the opportunity to make a choice that is going to keep you close to Jesus or move you in a direction that he is not going.  Sometimes these intersections are easy to identify and move beyond - sometimes they are a bit more elusive and you don't see that you took a wrong turn until you realize that Jesus is no longer in the driver's seat in your life.

The question we have ask each day is how we'll handle the intersections that come our way.  Like intersections on the highway, you have to make a choice.  You have to decide which way you're going to go and you can't ride along through life on auto-pilot.

Let us all travel each day with this scripture firmly in mind, "Choose this day who you will serve.  As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24)

OK - so it's that time of year where you have to think about New Year's resolutions.  Dieting, saving money, spending more time with the kids, etc.  We all have a tendency to reflect a bit this time of year and make some 'resolutions' for the new year.

Of course, you know that New Year's resolutions often fail - many are rather unrealistic - yet, we continue to try.

But... what if this year you tried a few "reverse" resolutions.  What if you looked back at 09 and identified things that you're not going to do / bring into 2010?  What sins do you need to repent of and leave in the past?  What hurt and pain have you experienced that you need to walk away from in Jesus' healing?  What do you need to change about your existing relationships?

We know that Jesus forgives, we know that Jesus heals, we know that Jesus wants to move you forward in your life.

So... what do you need to "leave behind in 09" in order to walk with Jesus in '10?
